Dr. Kristin Bergtora Sandvik is a senior researcher at The Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO). Sandvik has previously worked internationally as a children’s rights activist. She holds an S.J.D. from Harvard Law School. Her work on the socio-legal aspects of humanitarianism has appeared in the Journal of Human Rights Practice, the International Journal of Refugee Law and PoLAR: The Political and Legal Anthropology Review, among other. Her current projects are on internally displaced women in Colombia and the humanitarian aspects of emergent military technologies.
