Join our General Assembly on Wednesday 19 November at 14:00 CET online via Zoom.
Dear members of the IHSA,
Following the conference in Istanbul and Bergen we will also organize an online General Assembly (GA) to which you will be all invited. Voting for board members will be held from 27 October until 14 November. The result will be announced at the GA on 19 November. Please note that these are voluntary and unpaid positions.
We are looking for a diverse board of 10 people, and we currently have 4 vacancies on the board. Diversity pertains to gender and background as well as professional profile. We are an association bringing together scholars, applied researchers and reflexive practitioners, and hence we hope to see this reflected in the future board. Board members must have an affiliation with IHSA (for example having participated in the conferences) and a background in working in the Humanitarian field. Once elected, each board member serves a 4 year term.
Please note that Board membership is a voluntary position, without renumeration

New board members will be joining the following members of the current board as they have not completed their 4 year term:
Antonio De Lauri (IHSA President), Andrew Cunningham, Rodrigo Mena, Carla Vitantonio, Palash Kamruzzaman, Juan Ricardo Aparicio
Voting for board members will be held from 27 October until 14 November. The result will be announced at the GA on 19 November. Voting will be conducted via the IHSA website, with members able to cast one vote per open Board seat. The announcement will be made at the online IHSA AGM which will take place on Wednesday 19 November 2025. Online meeting details and times will come soon.
IHSA strongly encourages a diversity of representation on its Board in terms of age, background, geographical location, and academic/practitioner role.
Voting officially closed on Friday 14 November at 12:00 CET.
